For the first time in ten years, O’Hara Commons will not be holding its annual Pie Sale and Cider Pressing event. Spring freezes devastated fruit crops across our region, making it impossible to hold this beloved community event. But while there may be no pie this year, the work of building a strong local food system continues. O’Hara helps connect our community with local food, supports the farmers and producers who grow it, and works to make local food more accessible to everyone.

The Pie Sale has been a reliable source of annual funding for O’Hara, and without this year’s event, the organization is facing an $18,000 budget gap. O’Hara is asking the community to help keep this work going through one-time donations or monthly gifts as a Sustaining Patron. Every contribution helps support a stronger local food system here in the Bitterroot. To learn more or make a donation, click photo below. The orchard will recover, and we’ll bake pies again.
