Construction Skills for Women. Saturday, April 30 & Sunday, May 1st. $150.
This two day clinic is intended to develop building skills, teamwork and cooperation. You will meet and connect with other women interested in personal resiliency, building skills and community. The final product of a beautiful Chicken Coop will proudly reside at The O’Hara Commons as an interpretive, educational tool that comfortably houses happy chickens.
I’m Scout Wilkins, and I’ll be your teacher. I’ve been a builder all my life, and have led community projects in multiple locations around North America.
My goal is to help you build confidence through understanding and practice.
You’ll get comfortable with unfamiliar tools and materials, with using your body in a new way, with working together in an unfamiliar situation. You’ll get comfortable showing up in a group, even if you’re afraid everyone else might know more than you do.
Come at any age.
You’ll meet and connect with other women interested in personal resiliency and community.
The final product of a beautiful chicken coop will proudly reside at The O’Hara Commons as an interpretive, educational and productive tool that houses happy chickens. So you’ll be comfortable knowing you have contributed in a beautiful and meaningful way to the future of your community.
