Nourishing Cultures | Fermented Foods
Join Us. February 27th, Saturday at 11 AM
Heath N. Carey, founder of Nourishing Cultures based in Missoula, will be joining us to talk about the benefits of fermented foods. Fermented foods include yogurt, kefir, sauerkraut and kombucha. They contain colonies of beneficial bacteria and yeasts, also known as probiotics. A health colony of bacteria is good for your gastrointestinal tract and research shows that regular consumption of probiotics strengthens the immune system, boosts the psyche, decreases inflammation, and increases digestive efficiency. Heath N. is a fermentation specialist, producing a wide variety of fermented vegetables and kombucha flavors. We will be tasting a few of Heath’s products, such as garlic brined dills, sauerkraut, giardiniera and kombucha. How can something so healthy be so fun?
Meet at The O’Hara Commons & Sustainability Center. 111 South 4th Street, Hamilton. Send an email if you have questions: firstname.lastname@example.org. We hope to see you soon.
