Fundraiser: Pint Night & A Raffle

With the support of Bitterroot Brewing, O'Hara is launching our fantastic summer season with a Pint Night & A Raffle. A portion of the proceeds from each beer purchased will be donated to O'Hara Commons (Thanks to Bitterroot Brewing for their generosity in hosting this event). In addition, O'Hara has organized a raffle that represents our mission and great summer schedule. Local food, community and sharing knowledge. May’s Garden Activities A Guide: What and When There is a lot to do in the garden. Soil and air temperatures are slow to warm this year. There is a lot to do. If you feel behind, do not worry. But, stay a bit ahead of the curve! The following information is presented in four categories: Direct Seed, Transplant, Indoor (greenhouse) Starts and Pests. Knife Skills for Adults

May 16th. 5:30 pm Our youth programs were remarkably successful this past season. One element was Knife Skills. And both parents and grown-ups expressed interest in our replicating this class, for them. O'Hara is teaming up with food educator, Rachel Ariaz. This knife skills class will include knife choice, handling and cutting board management. Paring, utility, serrated and chef's knives are the foundation to a knife library. We will address the uses of each knife, how to properly hold and cut and a bit of knife maintenance. Snacks provided. Space limited. Build a Harvest Basket

Saturday, May 19th. 12:30 PM - 4-ish. Pat Kreider will be our instructor and she will teach you to make a harvest basket. Join us to learn how to make a functional and beautiful woven reed harvest basket. Pat has been making both ornamental and functional baskets for longer than she would like to share.
