Curiosity Camps: Garden Design

Curiosity Camps Tuesdays, 3:45 - 5:15pm Ages 7 - 12 (with exceptions) This month we are focusing on Garden Design. The 2017 O'Hara Children's Garden will be designed by Curiosity Campers. From crop selection to garden layout, from artful signs to planting strategies, we are engaging kids to be the driving force of the garden. Our goal is to engage participating youth in the creative elements of growing food. We merge art, natural history, science and food.

March: Lunch Time Learning

We are happy to be in our second year of our Lunch Time Learning Series. Friday. Noon until 1 PM. The month of March will feature one hour discussions on cool season crops. This is the time of the year that we direct seed peas, lettuce, spinach, radishes, fava beans and more. We will dedicate an hour to discussing direct sowing, cultivation, harvest, preparation and preservation of these wonderful foods. Growing tips, tricks and great recipes. Join us! Open to the public. Suggested donation of $5.
